Weekend Preview: Daily Legends, MILLION$, and 888 Sunday Special

The weekend is upon us and that means many of us have more time to play some online poker. You’ve come to the correct place if you’re looking for some juicy tournaments to play this weekend because the Weekend Preview showcases some must-play events for any buddy poker player.

Get Involved in the partypoker Daily Legends

partypoker is in the process of revamping its tournament schedule. The site wants to make partypoker the place for online poker tournaments. A raft of changes are happening right now, including limited the number of re-entries per events, and vastly reducing the late registration period.

Daily Legends are the banner that some of partypoker’s newest tournaments come under. They have amazing blind structures, less late reg. and only a single re-entry available.

These tournaments come with buy-ins of $2.20 to $77, which puts them towards the more affordable end of the buy-in scale. A handful of them are part of the Boosted Daily Legends promotion where prizes are awarded just for playing in selected Daily Legends events. Now’s the time to try partypoker if you haven’t already.

Plenty of High Stakes Action at GGPoker

The MILLION$ tournaments at GGPoker are massive and are right up your street if you’re looking to win big this weekend. Four tournaments have MILLION$ in their title and this quartet of events have combined guaranteed prize pools of $6 million!

The most accessible is the Global MILLION$, a $100 buy-in event with several Day 1s throughout the week. These feed into the Final Day on Sunday where at least $1 million is paid out to those who navigate their way into the payout places.

There’s also a High Roller MILLION$ with a $2 million guarantee. This costs $500 to enter but there are satellites running around the clock to give more people the opportunity to play in it.

Those with much larger bankrolls should look at the Super MILLION$ which commands a $10,000 buy-in and boasts of a $3 million prize pool. Bert Stevens won this tournament last week and walked away with almost $400,000 for his efforts.

Will the 888Millions Sunday Special Overlay Again?

The 888Millions Sunday Special runs for the third consecutive week and 888poker will be hoping it hits its $100,000 guarantee for the first time. Week 1 saw an overlay of $19,600 with Week 2 missing by $8,600.

This $215 buy-in tournament has a superb structure that sees everyone sit down with 50,000 chips and play to blinds starting at 150/300/40a. Those blinds increase every 12-minutes, giving you plenty of time to build a stack and fight it out for a top prize that’s usually in excess of $19,000.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the 888poker SuperStorm series events because there’s plenty of value to be had.
