Plenty of Juicy Side Events

There is still plenty left to play for in the historic 888Millions Superstorm at 888poker.

While we are about to get into some of the bigger buy-in events remaining on the schedule, rest assured there is also great value for lower stakes players.

Not only can low-stakes players qualify to some of the bigger events for a fraction of the buy-in but they can also play in plenty of side events catered just for them including the daily 888Millions $5.50 BIG Fish with a $7,000 guarantee ($8,000 on Sunday) at 6:31 p.m. GMT and the daily 888Millions $7.50 PKO 8-Max boasting a $6,000 guarantee.

That being said, let’s take a closer look at some of the bigger events remaining.

888Millions $530 High Roller ($100K GTD)

The final 888Millions $530 High Roller is set to take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m GMT.

The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing modestly at every 12 minutes.

The event boasts a $100,000 and is one you should have your eyes as this is your chance to play in a High Roller with plenty of satellites taking place on Tuesday.

You might be thinking, do I have a chance to win a High Roller even if I do qualify?

The answer to this question is a simple ‘yes’ as it was done just last week when Kevin “kevlar1991” Frame outlasted a field of 164 hopefuls to win the huge top prize of $23,000 after qualifying last minute in a satellite that set him back just $16.50!

888poker is also hosting a $55 mini-version of this event running at the same time on Tuesday featuring a tasty $30,000 guarantee.

888Millions $160 PKO 8-Max ($50K GTD)

Progressive knockout (PKO) lovers are in for a treat on Wednesday, Oct. 7 with the 888Millions $160 PKO 8-Max event with a healthy $50,000 guaranteed prize pool kicking off at 6 p.m. GMT.

The tournament has a similar structure to the High Roller with players starting with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 12 minutes.

However, this tournament is a bit different than the High Roller not only because of the lower cost but also due to half of every player’s buy-in being dedicated to their progressive bounty.

Of course, there will be plenty of satellites where you can qualify into this event for much cheaper than $160. So keep your eyes open on Wednesday in the 888poker client if you want to take a shot in this event.

888Millions $55 Mini Main Event

The Main Event is definitely the main attraction not only on Sunday, Oct. 11 but for the entire Millions Superstorm festival at 888poker.

This doesn’t mean that this is the only big event you should consider entering as there will be many other events for you to also choose from and potentially play alongside the Main Event if you work your way to Day 2.

One such event you should have your eyes on is the 888Millions $55 Main Event that boasts a big $75,000 guarantee.

Unlike the Main Event, the Mini Main Event is a one day affair. The action begins at 5:30 p.m. GMT with players starting with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 12 minutes.

There are direct satellites to this event already running now at 888poker starting at just $0.50 and keep your eyes peeled as there could be other ways to get in even cheaper as the event gets closer.

Need an Account?

The Superstorm Main Event is your chance to hit it big. The best part is that you can get into the event for free, but, of course, you will need an account to do so.

If you don’t already have one, we have even better news for you as our readers are treated to a welcome package far greater than most new players receive thanks to the special relationship we enjoy with 888poker.

Simply download 888poker through PokerNews and you will be awarded an $88 bonus (£20 in the UK) without making a deposit.
