Learn How to Qualify to The High Roller Big Game at partypoker

partypoker is the home to many recreational poker players with offerings in micro-stakes games among the best available online.

High stakes players also have plenty to be excited about at partypoker this year with many big events along with its special High Roller Club.

This Sunday, the High Roller Club at partypoker is hosting two juicy events on Sunday, October 4 in The High Roller Big Game with a big $5,200 buy-in along with a huge $500,000 guarantee and The Big Game with a $530 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee.

Players can qualify into both events and line themselves up for a monster payday for as little as $55.

Qualify to The Big Game at partypoker!

How to Qualify to The High Roller Big Game

The High Roller Big Game kicks off on Sunday, October 4 at 2:05 p.m. EDT / 8:05 p.m. CEST. As we already mentioned, the event boasts a mouth-watering $500,000 guarantee.

Players start off with a monster stack of 1 million in chips with blinds increasing every 15 minutes starting at 2,500/5,000 with an ante of 625.

The tournament allows for one re-entry that can be used during the late registration window that lasts for a full 12 blind levels.

Many players will pay the $5,200 buy-in to enter but you don’t have to. partypoker is hosting a $530 phased event where players will start with 100,000 in chips. The phased event will end after 20 blind levels are in the books at which point all remaining players will advance to The High Roller Big Game with their ending chip counts.

Don’t want to pay $530? Don’t worry, you don’t have to.

partypoker is also hosting $55 satellites into the $530 feeder tournaments. This means you can potentially play in a $5,200 buy-in event with a $500,000 guarantee for just $55.

Why Not Also Qualify to The Big Game as Well?

The Big Game begins at the same time as The High Roller Big Game on October 4 at 2:05 p.m. EDT / 8:05 p.m. CEST.

This tournament boasts a tasty $250,000 guarantee for a $530 buy-in.

The same 1 million starting chip stack is featured in this event as is in the High Roller version but it is slightly faster paced with 12 minute blind levels. Similarly, players can late-register and re-enter once anytime during the first dozen blind levels.

Once again, $530 is a ton of money for many players. This won’t stop the many big names with what seems to be endless bankrolls from playing. But it might be out of your range.

The good news is that there are $55 phased events that feed into The Big Game.

Thus far 17 players qualified into The Big Game including Czech poker pro Tomas Fara who currently has a chip leading stack of 1,664,250 in chips.

Canada’s “Trey Giorni” Claims GGMasters POY Lead

The race to receive a $500,000 GG sponsorship package is well and truly on with only three months of 2020 remaining. GGPoker’s players have 13 more GGMasters tournaments from which to earn crucial Player of the Year points and climb up the leaderboard.

Current GGMasters Player of the Year Top 10 (Sep. 30)

Place Player Flag Points
1 Trey Giorni Canada 2,782.66
2 Luka Donkbet Canada 2,149.46

4 Helen Clark New Zealand 2,060.24

Bert Stevens wins almost $400K at GGPoker

Long time leader “Sambalele” of Brazil has slumped to fifth place in the standings and now has to rediscover his form in the weekly GGMasters tournament. It looked nailed on that Sambalele would finish in first-place, but the recent special edition GGMasters tournaments and the fact they’re seeing a massive number of entrants means four players have overtaken the Brazilian.

“Trey Giorni” of Canada is the new leader and by some margin. The Canadian has 2,782,66 points, a lead of 633.20 going into the final quarter of the year. This lead is mostly because Trey Giorni triumphed in a GGMasters High Roller event and banked $182,888 in prize money.

“Luka Donkbet” is now in second place having been part of the top 10 for almost as long as the promotion has been in play. Canada’s Luka Donkbet won the GGMasters in May and won $67,940. He’s since cashed several more times to boost his POY points tally.

Third-place at the latest update is Israel’s “8ty4calling8”. He soared up the leaderboard this week thanks to becoming the latest GGMasters High Roller champion, They walked away with $150,816 for this victory and a bucket load of leaderboard points.

Another new entrant appears in fourth-place. “Helen Clark”, all the way from New Zealand, won the High Roller GGMasters on September 20 and padded his bankroll with $172,177. They’re now definitely in the hunt for the $500,000 sponsorship package.

$6M worth of guarantees in the MILLION$ events each week

What Can You Win in the GGMasters POY Race?

Whoever tops the leaderboard as we see in 2021 walks away with a GG sponsorship package worth up to $500,000. Those finishing in second through 10th place get their hands on entries for every GGMasters tournament taking place next year.

The GGMasters runs every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. CEST. It costs $150 to enter and has $500,000 guaranteed. Oh, it’s also a freezeout tournament so ensure you make the most of your 10,000 starting stack if you do enter this weekend’s event.

There’s also a $1 million guaranteed GGMasters High Rollers each week, although this will set you back $1,000 unless you satellite in or sell pieces of yourself via the in-built staking software.

You can get some practice in for the GGMasters every day by playing in the GGMasters Daily. This $25 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed event.

Caesars Entertainment Set to Acquire William Hill for £2.9 Billion

William Hill is one of the oldest British bookmakers but it looks set to come under American ownership with Caesars Entertainment set to acquire it for £2.9 billion.

Caesars Entertainment has offered to pay cash for all William Hill shares. The offer weighs in at 272 pence per share, a premium of 25% on the closing price the day before the bid. Buying all available shares at this price equates to £2.9 billion.

Investors learned of Caesars’ interest via an official statement from William Hill on the London Stock Exchange. It is believed William Hill’s Board of Directors are keen for shareholders to accept the deal.

A date of the second half of 2021 is penciled in for completion should everything go through smoothly. Caesars are keen to get the deal across the line because they estimate the William Hill business will add between $600-700 million of net revenue to its company accounts.

Betfred Owners Purchase Significant Stake In Rival William Hill

William Hill Shareholders Have Been on a Wild Ride

It’s been a roller-coaster ride of emotions for investors and shareholders in William Hill over the past five years.

William Hill’s business was booming in 2015, so much so that it bid $1.14 billion for rival 888 Holdings in November. That bid was firmly rejected.

888 and Rank enquired about a possible £3 billion takeover of William Hill 12-months later, valuing William Hill shares at 364 pence per share. William hill rejected the offer and the subsequently improved offer.

Eyal Saked, son of Avi Shaked, one of the co-founders of 888, claimed the rejection would be the downfall of William Hill.

That prediction looked to be coming true. Although William Hill got a foothold in the United States sports betting market, its performances closer to home left a lot to be desired.

They were hit with a massive £6.2 million penalty in February 2018 after breaching anti-money laundering and social responsibility regulations.

More recently, in February 2020, almost £360 million of value was wiped off William Hill’s value after investors sold masses of shares following a bitterly disappointing financial update.

William Hill, like the majority of gambling companies, has struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic. This, combined with the British government reducing the maximum stake on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals from £100 to just £2, resulted in huge losses.

Shares in William Hill dropped from 192.40 pence per share to 142.50 pence per share in the space of a week after announcing its latest financials. The price went into freefall and bottomed out at only 34.07 pence per share on March 19. William Hill was valued are a mere £356.4 million at that time.

William Hill Shares Plummet On Back Of Awful Results

Caesars Have an Eye on William Hill’s U.S. Business

Performance in the recently reopened U.S. market has been the one shining star in otherwise disappointing William Hill results. The British firm already has 170 sites across 13 U.S. states and gambling profits continue to rise.

Caesars already owns 20% of William Hill’s U.S. operations and now wants full control and the monies derived from it.

CEO of Caesars Entertainment, Tom Reeg, recently watched over a $17.3 billion merger of Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Resorts. Now he’s looking forward to combining with William Hill.

“The opportunity to combine our land-based casinos, sports betting, and online gaming in the U.S. is a truly exciting prospect. William Hill’s sports betting expertise will complement Caesars’ current offering, enabling the combined group to better serve our customers in the fast-growing U.S. sports betting and online market.”

Bitcoin Just Printed a Monthly Close Above a Pivotal Support Level

It’s been quite the boring past four weeks for the Bitcoin market. The cryptocurrency, after suffering a strong plunge at the start of the month, was largely rangebound between $10,000 and $11,000 over September.

Despite the lack of strong price action, not all hope is lost for Bitcoin bulls.

In fact, many analysts remarked at the time of the candle close that the cryptocurrency is actually in a good long-term position. Here’s why they think so.

Bitcoin Prints Crucial Monthly Candle Close

Bitcoin has seen a weak performance over the month of September. Since the start of the month, the cryptocurrency has slipped a handful of percent, printing a red candle for the first time since June.

Despite this drop, not all hope is lost.

The cryptocurrency, having bounced strongly from the monthly lows around $9,800, is actually in a bullish state as per some analysts.

One trader shared the chart below right after the monthly candle close. The chart shows that Bitcoin is actually sitting above a level of macro support, $10,500, on a monthly time frame.

This level marked the highs of Bitcoin’s rallies in 2019 (monthly time frame) and in February (intra-month time frame). Bitcoin managing to turn this level into support suggests the formation of a “bullish trend” on the monthly chart, the trader said.

The trader that made this observation is the same one that predicted in the middle of the March crash that the asset would see a V-shaped reversal to $10,000 by May/June. He was proven correct just months after he made this call, nailing the timing and the shape of the price action.

Long-Term On-Chain Trends Also Bullis

Long-term on-chain trends are also bullish for Bitcoin.

CryptoQuant, a crypto-asset analytics and data firm, recently shared that the following ten of its eleven long-term on-chain trends are currently printing “buy” signals for Bitcoin:

  • Miners’ position index
  • Puell Multiple
  • Hash Ribbons
  • All Exchanges Outflow Mean
  • All Exchanges Reserve
  • Stablecoin Supply Ratio
  • All Exchanges Stablecoin Reserve
  • MVRV Ratio
  • Network Value to Metcalfe Ratio
  • Stock to Flow

While on-chain trends aren’t perfect determinants of price action over the short term, these long-term trends suggest that Bitcoin is in a phase of macro growth.

Where the cryptocurrency will rally to, though, remains to be seen.

Why Post Debate Stock Market Performance Could Be Bad For Bitcoin

Last night, current United States President Donald J. Trump faced off against former Vice President and challenger Joe Biden in the first of three debates. Data shows, that following each debate, things have turned bad for the stock market, which could, in turn, mean even worse for Bitcoin.

Here’s why the stock market tumbling due to debates demoralizing investors could also spell bad news for the leading cryptocurrency by market cap.

Why The Debate Could Have a Bearish Impact On Bitcoin

Last night, the two top Presidential candidates went head-to-head as the world looked on. The two didn’t do anything to ease the minds of citizens, nor investors.

A “rocky” road to the election is expected to impact Bitcoin and prevent a new all-time high just yet, and last night was a preview as to why.

Neither candidate expects a peaceful transition of power, and already there are questions over the validity of the vote-counting process due to mail-in ballots causing all kinds of issues and turmoil.

The uncertainty hanging over political started spilling into markets last night. While the Democratic and Republican leaders debated, the stock market spiked, then the moment the debate ended tanked.

Bitcoin price followed, dropping back down to $10,750, where it currently is attempting to close above the key level ahead of tonight’s monthly close.

This early sign of downward sell pressure due to fear and doubt may just be the beginning of more downside in Bitcoin and the stock market.

Presidential Showdown Results In Stock Markets Taking A Beating

As depicted in the chart above, the blue line representing the S&P 500 stock market index, began plummeting just as the debate came to a close. Bitcoin’s fall started shortly before that, as the higher risk asset class likely began to feel the pressure of the debate sooner.

The two assets are back trading as tightly correlated as ever, despite constant talk from crypto’s brightest minds expecting a decoupling of the crypto asset from traditional markets any day.

But data shows that post-debate, markets turn down due to the ongoing uncertainty over which candidate’s campaign will ultimately win.

Related Reading | Bitcoin Descending Triangle Hints At Third Downtrend Before Bear Market Finish

According to Ryan Detrick, chief strategist at LPL Financial, the S&P 500 historically posted declines across 5-day, 10-day, and one-month periods following each debate. With only the first of three debates beginning last night, the stock market could be in for a bumpy ride ahead. And due to the ongoing correlation with Bitcoin, the high-risk cryptocurrency market could take another hit.

If it doesn’t, however, the decoupling analysts are calling for will finally come to fruition, and Bitcoin shining while stocks tank, could be just another catalyst that fuels the cryptocurrency’s next bull market – which could be here as soon as the election is over.

The Battle of Malta Heads to GGPoker with a $3 Million GTD Main Event

The iconic Battle of Malta festival will be held from November 1-22 online at the world’s fastest-growing online poker network GGPoker per a joint announcement by the festival’s organizers Casino Malta by Olympic Casino and GGPoker.

This follows a move by many popular festivals including the World Series of Poker recently hosting its worldwide schedule at GGPoker.

The schedule will be released in the near future. What we know for now are both that it will be more than a three-week affair headlined by a $550 Main Event that will guarantee a whopping $3 million.

GGPoker is Honored to be the Preferred Partner

GGPoker is understandably excited about hosting yet another big festival at its global poker network.

“I’m genuinely excited to announce that the Battle of Malta 2020 will be hosted at GGPoker,” said the Director of Live Events & Sponsorships at GGPoker John Scanlon. “It’s an honor to be unveiled as the organizers’ preferred online partner, and I’m confident that this year’s Battle of Malta will be bigger and better than ever!”

About the Battle of Malta

The Battle of Malta is one of the most popular festivals in Europe of the year. This is even more true for low- and mid-stakes recreational players looking for a fun atmosphere with the prospects of winning big at the felts with events scheduled nonstop.

The Battle of Malta Main Event grows every year and set the €555 event set a new record last year when an enormous field of 4,657 entrants generated a mouth-watering €2,258,645 prize pool. Moldova’s Serghei Lisii shipped the event for €247,167 after agreeing to a heads-up deal with Steven van Zadelhoff (second – €217,167).

For the past couple of years, the festival has been held at the spacious Intercontinental Arena located in the luxurious Intercontinental Hotel and was hosted by Casino Malta by Olympic Casino.

Many poker players held out hope that this year’s event would go on as planned at Casino Malta with the amount of COVID-19 coronavirus cases around much of Europe including Malta reduced during the early summer.

As you are likely aware, the outbreak came back for a second wave near the end of the summer in most of Europe including in Malta leading Casino Malta to announce that this year’s event was canceled.

“It is with a heavy heart that Casino Malta had to postpone the much-awaited Battle of Malta live event, but we’re elated to partner with such a prestigious brand as GGPoker,” said the General Manager of Casino Malta Slawomir Świtalski. “We look forward to seeing everyone in Malta in 2021 for a very special Battle of Malta.”

Although players will be unable to feel the cards and chips in their hands they will now be given a safer option to play from the comfort at home in a full schedule guaranteeing $3 million at GGPoker.

Bitcoin Forms “Obviously Bullish” Divergence as User Count Spikes

Bitcoin underwent multiple rejections in the $11,000 region over recent weeks, suggesting the asset remains rangebound. Fortunately for bulls, there are on-chain trends suggesting that the cryptocurrency is in a bullish state. There are also underlying fundamentals like a commitment to inflation by the Federal Reserve that could spur further BTC purchasing.

Bitcoin’s On-Chain Trends Suggest the Prevailing Trend Is Bullish

Bitcoin’s recent price action has been cautious at best but analysts seem convinced that the prevailing trend is bullish.

Willy Woo, an on-chain analyst, recently shared the chart below. It shows that the cryptocurrency is seeing a spike in new users (as measured by Glassnode) despite the price of BTC stalling. Woo thinks that this is an “obviously bullish” divergence that may resolve to the upside:

We’re seeing a spike in activity by new participants coming into BTC not yet reflected in price, it doesn’t happen often. This is what traders call a divergence, in this case it’s obviously bullish.

Image

Adding to this, Woo explained that an influx of on-chain Bitcoin is currently changing hands. This should suggest that there will soon be a bullish reversal as spikes in BTC changing hands have marked trend reversals over the past few months:

“We’re seeing another impulse of coins changing hands completing. My interpretation is that the last pulse was take profit, halting the downward move; this impulse should be the one that drives us upwards.”

Fundamental Trends Also Bullish for BTC

Fundamental trends also seem poised to drive the cryptocurrency to the upside.

Dan Tapiero, co-founder of 10T Holdings, Gold Bullion International, among other firms, recently stated that Bitcoin will drive higher due to an influx of global liquidity.

“Massive global liquidity to hit mkts NEXT year. Chart suggests #equity mkt at risk of correction in Q4, then single greatest rally of our lifetime in 2021. Enormous speed and near vertical price increase possible. Might be led by #GOLD this time. #Bitcoin would benefit too.”

While he is bullish on the crypto-asset, Tapiero recently said that Bitcoin is currently irrelevant on a macro scale.

He went as far as to say that Bitcoin’s market capitalization may need to gain upwards of 2,000% before it is considered relevant by “macro authorities.” This may be a good thing as it may not be targeted by regulators until it grows to that point.
